MoodSpace is a place for students. Packed with reliable information, tips and self-help tools to tackle emotional problems or to help you study confidently. It offers room for student stories, peptalk and helps you find the help you need. It is thé check to put your mental health first.

Share your mental health experiences by participating in 2 minutes videos and podcasts

Depression, anxiety and other mental health issues are common among students, but they're often a hidden part of university life. On MoodSpace you can get inspired by other students’ stories about vulnerability and doubt. But above all about the power of connectedness. On MoodSpace, you can also discover a podcast episode with interesting talks with student and expert guests as they discuss well-being and all its aspects. From head to heart, body to mind.

Share your experiences to show other students that they are not alone. What was it like to manage your studies and your mental health? How did your higher education institution support you? How did your friends and family help you? What are your tips and tricks? All stories about doubts and vulnerability are welcome. At this stage, we are specifically welcoming input on gender, identity, sexuality and religion as well as experiences of working students, students with a migration or refugee background or first generation students.

Both, the 2 minutes videos and the podcasts, will be produced by a professional movie maker in a corona proof setting during the period February - March 2022. Due to COVID and the travel limitations connected to it, however, we are looking for students (or former students) who are currently located in Belgium only. Our video team can travel to meet you and record, following COVID regulations, but not outside of Belgium unfortunately.

Do you want to inspire us? You can do it now. Tomorrow too, but preferably today. In this way, together we will make MoodSpace to a warm place for and by students. Please contact us to express your interest and motivation via valerie.vanhees@siho.be - 0474 39 18 38
