Rogervoice

Description

Rogervoice makes it possible for students with auditory disabilities to make phonecalls.

  • Founder | Rogervoice was developed by a company whose CEO himself is deaf.
  • Speech-to-text | The app converts the speech of the hearing interlocutor into text.
  • Text-to-speech | If the user also has difficulty speaking, then he can respond by typing what he wants to say in the app.
  • Hearing aid | If the user is hard of hearing, the app can not only subtitle the voice of his interlocutor, but also stream it to his hearing aid or CI via a ring line or Bluetooth.

For whom and why

The Rogervoice app is designed for people with auditory disabilities.

  • Calling | The app makes it possible to communicate with hearing people over the phone.
  • Simple | You no longer need an interpreter, mediation service or text phone for these purposes.

How does it work

How to make phone calls using Rogervoice:

  • Making a call | Call from the app. The app immediately subtitles what your interlocutor says and you can respond via voice or chat. The app talks for you via the chat and converts your typed response into speech. This works both via mobile data (3G/4G) and via Wi-Fi.
  • Getting a call | To receive a call, set up a virtual Rogervoice number in the app and forward your mobile phone to that number. This allows you to accept incoming calls directly from the Rogervoice app.

Pricing

  • Free | Installation of the app and the first hour of calling is free for 3 months. Calling from Rogervoice to Rogervoice is always free.
  • Subscription | A cheaper or more expensive subscription allows you to respectively call, forward and receive for one hour or unlimited.
  • Credit | Don't prefer a subscription? You can also buy credit. For a certain amount you can call for a certain amount of time and you are not attached to anything.
